Pharmacy is the field of an incredibly dynamic development that is closely related to the newest world scientific achievements and a pharmacist is a specialist that is socially oriented and extremely wanted for society.
The task of the faculty of pharmacy includes a practical realization of the aim that is the integration of the faculty into the world educational and scientific area.
The strategy of the faculty at the current stage is the training of pharmaceutical personnel for the chain of pharmacies and medical establishments, for production, science, control and analytical laboratories, the provision of the quality training of specialists and masters of pharmacy.
Material recourses: a teaching and laboratory building, cabinets and laboratories, computer classrooms, an assembly hall, sports and health complex, a library, an electronic reading room, a reading room, dormitories, a teaching and methodical complex for pharmacognosy, an educational pharmacy. The study at college is performed according to a curriculum and the programs of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Students study human, fundamental sciences which are the basis of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge. A special attention is paid to studying pharmaceutical subjects: pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry, technologies of pharmaceutical forms, the organization and economics of pharmacy, management and marketing etc.
The main pharmaceutical scientific areas of the problem commission “Pharmacy” are:
- Scientific and practical substantiation of the methodology of system management with medicine provision based on logistic, pharmaceutical, pharmaecononomic approaches.
- The development of brand new technologies of the withdrawal of biologically active materials from plant products with the purpose of creating pharmaceutical forms and means.
- Synthesis and bioactivity of purine derivatives, its homologues and hetero analogues. Pharmacological and pharmacognostic study of medicinal plants of the south of Ukraine with adaptogenic, stress-protective and immunomodulatory activity.
